Beth is the Broker and Owner of Rafter Cross Realty, LLC. She was born and raised in Lea County, New Mexico. She is a Lovington High School graduate and holds a Bachelor of Business Education degree from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Texas Tech University in addition to a Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English Literature also from Texas Tech University. Beth is a former educator, having previously worked for both the Lovington and Tatum Municipal Schools. In addition, she spent many years teaching part-time and online college courses for New Mexico Junior College, Texas Tech University, Lubbock Christian University, and Ashford University.
Beth received her New Mexico Real Estate Associate Broker’s license in 2014 and in 2016 upgraded to a Qualifying Broker license and opened her own brokerage, Rafter Cross Realty, LLC. In 2020, she added a Texas Broker’s license to the mix. Beth has served for several years on the Board of Directors for the Lea County Real Estate Professionals and also on the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Multiple Listing Service. On the national level, she is a very active member of the Realtors Land Institute where she has served on the Future Leaders Committee and currently serves on the Education Committee. In addition, Beth has recently been appointed as one of the founding members of the Land Broker Co-Op Ambassador Program which seeks to encourage camaraderie, knowledge, and resources within the Land Broker Industry while also supporting the first MLS owned by and for Land Brokers specifically.
Beth holds numerous designations and certifications including the National Association of Realtors Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) Designations along with the e-Pro, Pricing Strategy Advisor, and Short Sale & Foreclosure Specialist. Most recently she received the very coveted Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designations, making her one of only two in New Mexico to hold this designation and the only one in Southeast New Mexico.
She also teaches continuing education courses including the Core Class for the New Mexico Real Estate Commission and Land 101 and Agricultural Brokerage & Marketing for the Realtors Land Institute.

Julia is an Associate Broker at Rafter Cross Realty, LLC. She was born and raised in Lea County, New Mexico. She is a Lovington High School graduate and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from College of the Southwest and a M.B.A. in Business Management from Eastern New Mexico University. She also is a New Mexico School of Banking graduate from the Robert O. Anderson Graduate School of Business at University of New Mexico.
Julia worked for First National Bank of Lea County as a Loan Officer and Administrative Assistant from 1971 to 1978 before transitioning into the family business as Co-Owner and Office Manager for the General Motors Dealership in Lovington from 1978-2010 where she wrote all of the vehicle sales contracts and maintained all of the financial records. In 2010 she returned briefly to banking as the Assistant Vice President & Branch Manager for Lea County State Bank’s Lovington Office before moving into real estate in 2016 when her daughter, Beth, opened Rafter Cross Realty.
Julia serves on the Board of Trustees for Nor-Lea Hospital in Lovington and on the Extra-territorial Board for Lovington.
